A nuclear power plant needs tons of protection mechanism: has to withstand air plane attack, security clearance for all employees, tons of regulation.

Do you know what happens in Germany when a castor transport happens?

Do you know how expensive Tschernobyl still is?

My comment regarding education was for current Germany.

Modern Germany.

The country who helps tremendously around the globe with stable politics.

The country which did not hide it's past. We all learn in school about ww2.

Renewable most of the time allows to keep reserves and use them when necessary.

Also the renewable story is not just solar and wind but also short term energy storage.

The dependency to Russian gas is only 30%. Adding more thermal solar energy on roofs and bigger heat water storage is relatively easy to achieve.

Of course Germany should have pushed renewable even further and we did not. It's frustrating to see so little solar panels in cities.

It is depending on Russia for 30% or so in gas. It has this problem because the transition is not done and Fukushima pushed the faster end of nuclear power.

Which is understandable when you remember Tschernobyl and how dense populated Germany is.

I drive by isar nuclear power plant by train since I remember. While it looks interesting it's also frightening when you see how little real knowledge or excercise anyone had when Tschernobyl happened and when Fukushima happened.

The effort my big software company does on regards of requirements of releasing software, I would say yes.

Big companies like Nvidia have background checks, independent security teams etc.

Like when you have level 1 unlocked and lvlq creates a lot of money and you are at the point to continue to buy more and more expensive upgrades for lvl 1 or to save up to start to invest in lvl2.

If the market can just do what it does with ice cars and in parallel work on ev I would totally agree. We could do much more with ice.

But we know that there is a huge necessary investment curve for ev. When is the right time to stop investing money time and brain time for ice and start putting it in EV?

Funny enough I think old companies are getting more frightened then ever afer Tesla, apple, Sony, Amazon are investing into ev development.

Independent of this, ice to ev transition takes already relatively long in Germany and similar countries. This will take even more time in countries with less GDP.
