From my own personal experience, it would explain why when I use window managers like i3wm and Yabai versus regular desktop that I am more effective and efficient. Somehow window managers just fits perfectly like glove for my brain.

I don't get that cognitive load overhead when I have million different tabs and windows and programs and notes just splattered in a single screen. It's all neatly hidden away until I need them with good management of window managers.

I would love to believe that would be the case as it would show there was some effort given, no matter how bad the implementation was. Unfortunately, Kuwait is ran by decade-old mass negligence that runs from small institutions/businesses all the way up to the government.

I think the funniest thing happened about this situation is that we never knew about the fire but from the international media picked it up THEN the local media picked up on it. It's even more comical when you realize how tiny Kuwait is.

I really like this style of creating UI. This is awfully similar to Flutter's style of declarative UI and I do mean it in the most positive way.

As a person with ADD, I don't like taking the medications. It makes me feel like a zombie and emotionally dead inside. I hated it. It stripped everything of me but made me "productive" (as in acing school work - which did brilliantly). However, I feel it wasn't worth it.

It took months just to feel normal again. For those who were wondering, I took a mix of short and long releasing stimulants. Although, I mainly blame the short releasing ones for most of my troubles.

Drowning is a problem, but a good kind of problem to have in my opinion.

I'd rather have a positive feedback that my business is growing in the right direction but can't keep up with demand than being the never-ending void of finding a product-market fit. This is purely my opinion (so I don't expect everyone should do/think this way), I just feel the trade-off is better.

I think this is one of the biggest problems with finding a product-market fit that is often mixed with "catching waves" (think AI wave, sharing economy wave, blockchain wave). How do I know which is which is the driving force of my product when it's mixed up?

You're 100% right, market-fit is about the long run and there's this tendency in tech culture that everything should be fast-tracked to become a unicorn, hyper-growth, press coverage on TechCrunch. It is a purely bro/VC idea.

But iterating your product/business to the best/biggest possible realization that it could possibly be can lead you to get "drowned". At the end of the day, when coming on the crossroads at that point, we should ask if we want to "go big" or "stay as you are". Both are equally accepted answers and comes down to taste and preference.

We all hate the toxic tech bro/VC culture telling us not going big is akin to being a failure and we don't talk/promote enough the idea it's absolutely fine to go slow and steady (my favorite example would be Basecamp). Tech bros are all in to get a few seconds of fame and VC are in maximizing their returns in the shortest possible time. It's unsustainable and unstable idea. I think it's the primary root why there's a diaspora of engineers, VCs, startups in silicon valley.

Depending on the business that is, but if there's an unsolved need from the market, wouldn't it be that no one is fit for the market? If so, then the person who's "drowning" is the most qualified of all (given at that moment).

What really bothers me is when the author says ' it’s possible Sarahah has harvested hundreds of millions of names, phone numbers, and email addresses ". I believe I remember Snapchat and other social media apps done before.

What Sarahah should have done is to communicate with their users about what their data and how they plan their security (being an anonymous messaging platform). But, let's not forget how Snapchat dealt with their security and data at its rise.
