(not to be demeaning, but) Why? Halo 2 is playable, with first party support, via The Master Chief Collection today. They've even kept the button combinations (BXR, RRX, etc)

Why? I haven't used AppD in ~7 years, but I remember it being one of the most pleasurable APMs (but also ridiculously expensive)

It seems to me the marriage between APM and logging would be a home run.

One of the (or maybe both) Nirvana ones are pretty good. He goes into how Cobain uses upper extensions/suspensions to give a melancholic feel. I think one of the Pearl Jam ones he throes the vocal chart on there too.

He's at his best when he's analyzing the vocal melody against the chord harmony (ie: they're using the #4 on the F for a Lydian feel to the 3rd on the Am)

I like the key travel of my (personal) 2015 MBP compared to the 2019 MBP I have for work. I put a keyboard cover on the 2019 and it feels less bad.

You can't on iOS. All browsers (including Firefox!) on iOS are wrappers around Safari, which is lagging behind on many HTML5 features

Browsers have Autocomplete for previously inputted things, but many websites want Autocomplete for partial queries that the user hasn't typed before

Another 2015MBP stalwart here. I wasn't planning on upgrading to an ARM Mac.

I use BootCamp (daily lately, since we're in lockdown and it's snowing) for gaming on Windows with an eGPU. Neither of which are supported on the M1.

I'm considering selling my eGPU and just building a gaming PC (the M3 will likely be out by the time I pull trig though :/), but it was nice to have 1 machine do it all (work + play), especially since I didn't need the eGPU to play some couch co-op games (Cuphead, Castle Crashers, very cottage-friendly!)

Android Studio is better in this regard, there's an SDK manager so I don't need to have watchOS/tvOS installed when my apps don't target it

Homebrew (and CocoaPods, perhaps famously) uses github as a CDN for their package listings, syncing the git repos likely takes the most time here

I think they're referring to the thermal throttling, and not the MBP forcing the discrete card when an external monitor is connected. As far as I know, there is no way around using the discrete card for external monitors (on my 2015MBP at least, I'm pretty sure the HDMI port is wired direct to the M370X).

I've solved the thermal issues by using an eGPU (like GP suggests)

Bite off both ends and use it to slurp up coffee like a straw. The heat of the coffee melts the insides of the Coffee Crisp and its delicious

It's normal for water to still be in the bottom, since the funnel piece doesn't touch all the way down

Some tips/common issues:

1. Make sure the base is screwed on tight. An air leak could cause water to be left (and burnt coffee) 2. The gasket on the top chamber could need replacing (try wrapping a towel tightly around the seam if you can't get a gasket easily/quickly) 3. The coffee could be packed too tightly 4. The bottom chamber could have water above/in line with the safety valve. This will cause the safety valve to leak water 5. Clogged filters in the top chamber or funnel piece

iOS optimizes here too, by limiting how much CPU/IO background apps can use. It's frustrating to use Chromecast (for example) on iOS since it's always disconnecting from the receiver.

Grid view is the default view now in meet. It rolled out (for my org at least) yesterday.

I tried using the web client in Chrome today on my Mac, and the audio was playing to me at what felt like 50% speed; everyone sounded like slow motion to me.
