Harsh really, they get lumped with a bill that they don't want and will cost them money to maintain, and annoy their customers... and they get DDOS'd

my 2-cents: I actually think Nokia could be on the up. Most companies like this have a problem with their departments lacking communication, or lack guardians that ensure each aspect is unified and works properly - and Nokia may never have this; however if they stick to the platform and strive for better quality on delivery and innovation it could work out alright.
I thought Nokia were going to bite the dust, but then I remembered consumers are fickle... if Nokia release something that looks sexy, and works well, they will be back oki. As long as they keep symbian going for the low-fi robust cheap phone market (that is still at large).

The problem you are trying to solve is impossible to solve by modifying the contents of an email.
The problem is not that people can forward emails, the problem is that an untrustworthy person has been given valuable data.
You could press printscreen, take a photo... anything you do to that email can be overcome.
This doesn't mean your development has been in vein, I am sure you have learnt a huge amount executing this, and it is great to share it. Very impressed, thank you!
Njix is right, but don't let the flaws in this experiment prevent you from sharing and building more projects.
He does point out a valuable lesson, do not try and fix a problem from one area with another, which applies a lot in development... I see people fixing CSS rendering issues with JS for instance.
I don't see how this is any different XHTML or HTML 4... what am I missing?

I appreciate the effort but that page, in itself, is a sin of webdesign... assuming everyone has an interface that supports hover, with mystery-meat.
I honestly had no idea what was going on until I came to the comments as I first viewed it on my iphone... came to the comments here for an explanation.
Its funny, I remember starting out on the internet, I would never put an ounce of "real" information on there and that was how people lived... now we have facebook/myspace/twitter/"blogging" and people are happy to disclose all types of personal information. Let alone geodata on photos.
As far as I can tell CISPA will only give out the information you provide to them. As bad as it is, you can mitigate it by not giving people your information on the webz?
As cool as it looks, I disagree with the idea of doing the animation in the CSS doc... dont know why. Maybe I am just wrong or stuck in the past :¬)
Less talk more action, posts like this are great as most devs will know most of it - and for those that dont, they now do. Just keep doing what you do, improving your skills and bettering yourself as much as possible.
