The exams need to change. Now that we have LLMs the value a human can bring to a task has changed and it’s that new value that has to be tested.

It’s like testing your drawing ability in a photography class. The difference is that now nearly have subject and testing method we have has become obsolete. Drawings courses still exist as will traditional courses, but the main stream has changed and exams and schools need to adapt.

I agree with everything you said expect I genuinely believe that most pro-lifers would vote for "this law as written will cause the (avoidable) deaths of pregnant mothers who want to keep their babies but have a miscarriage", because murder is a sin under all circumstances.

That’s the problem I have with discussion, we can be eloquent and well reasoned but when two people differ on a belief that is fundamental to the argument there is no agreement possible.

Without a shared reality people develop beliefs so radically different no amount of reasoned argument can change that.

What would make me share your belief, maybe a 50 hours of media of pro-lifers saying abortion is ok to save the mother.

What a difference presentation makes. On Ops link I could enjoy scrolling through the photos, to see them on the Smithsonian site ,I had to find the "See all digital content in FSA.A1999.35" link then 4 clicks for each photo from a harsh index page.

Thank you to makers for putting the sites together, one for storage and the other for consumption.

I’m not I the states and only see America through the media and social media like this.

You ask why did they need hope, do you have an answer why did they need hope? What’s so bad in America that people could be manipulated as you put it.

It feels a like a repeat of Brexit, where people vote against there own material gains to punish others because that’s the quickest high they can get https://youtu.be/GPgatTnVvVY

Now that I have CarPlay I won’t get a car without it. A car manufacturer can’t compete with the ecosystem or the convenience of using the same app in car as on the phone.

Granted it’d be better if the car navigation got updated and didn’t cost $100, but it won’t and it doesn’t. Podcasts don’t need a sync I as the play from the same device, there’s Audible, and Jellyfin supported music players, ChatGPT through the car speakers, WhatsApp for calls, I have a Bluetooth Connection for to the car computer, I had Pimsleur for a while, there is just no way an infotainment system can do more.

All this in a midrange car from 2021

The original aesthetic, including lighting, was made keeping the original limitations in minds. Kind of running old sprite games on LCDs instead of CRTs makes them look jagged.

So it's different and a tech demo, but I agree it's not necessarily better and could be one the reasons it is free.

At the bottom the article links to this discussion, but not your other articles. Did you happen to find the discussion on Hacker news or post it yourself?

If you happened to have found it, has someone systematized linking their articles to their respective hacker news discussion?.
