I’m on an 11 Pro. The site works fine. The issue is the audio. It somehow continues playing after the page is closed and after the application I’m using is closed. It took a phone reboot to stop playing.

I’m not claiming that there’s malicious activity on the part of the site. I just wonder if there is something anomalous about how it plays audio.

Objectively they are not profitable. If you count gas taxes that are collected, we're only covering about a quarter of the cost to maintain them.

Roads are not generating direct revenue, which is how you determine profit. There's no model where roads are profitable.

Additionally, we've been moving goods and services by rail for approximately two centuries in the United States - long before a car was on a road. Roads are not a requirement to move goods around.

On the other hand, we update irreplaceable spacecraft billions of miles away with new software.

It should be fine to push software updates out, as long as the correct safety and fallback procedures are in place. It simply has to be designed to handle failure and procedures need to be in place to mitigate risks.

It sounds like that wasn't the case here. Also, why wouldn't you have a small initial release pool when you have such a large potential for disruption?

You may be missing the benefit of capturing historical data.

Image being able to don AR glasses and to be present for the moon landing or experience the assembly of the Eiffel tower from a position at its base.

Entertainment is one thing, but capturing critical events in full dimension would be world changing.

The thought was to re-collect the propellant for reuse in an environment where you cannot easily replenish it, once you have harnessed the energy from burning the components of that propellant.

I don't think that the boat experiment is a good analogue, though, as it seems the engine would be pushing with more force in the backward direction than could be harnessed in the forward direction.

It still seems like there could be a possible way to re-collect the water for further use as propellant in a vacuum once you have harnessed the energy from it's combustion. Essentially using solar to propel your craft and then reclaiming the raw propellant (water) so that it can be separated again.

There is an almost unbelievable experiment where a fan is used to blow into a sail attached to a boat and it shows that you can propel a boat using a fan that is mounted on the boat itself. It's a bit mind bending.

When the Oxygen and Hydrogen are burned from this engine, they should recombine into water.

If we fired an engine like this in space toward a "sail", would it be possible to produce a craft long enough and with a system attached to the aft that could re-collect the water for reuse?

Possibly by having stiff wires that use the surface tension of the water to stickily grab on as the craft moves forward?

My thought was that it would add some protection against a dictionary attack.

"Horse-with-a-C" is a longer password, but could possibly be hit using an algorithm that expects "with-a-[letter]" to be generated as part of a password.

The randomized misspelling of a word-or-two was intended to break a dictionary attack.

I had a idea similar to this, where you would misspell one or two words randomly - and then generate a sentence below the password to help with remembering the built-in obfuscation.

Such as the Generate Password would be listed as:

Correct Horce Battery Staple

"Correct Horse-with-a-C Battery Staple"

It's interesting to think that a technology like this could have secondary ramifications; as, burning hydrogen produced from salt-water could give us clean drinking water too.
