The elitism is rampant. As an embedded sector guy everyone thinks every other RTOS isn't a real RTOS and the knowledge and wisdom don't translate.

MS literally hung up on me in 2020 during the interview in teams, no less than 3 minutes into the interview itself (interviewer was more than a dozen minutes late, and is a prominent MS guy who gives lecture style talks)

I have to schedule multiple interviews in the day so I can at least feel normal by the last one. I'm at my current job because I scheduled three interviews in a day, including a hour drive to a physical location for the second one.

I was so done with it I wore something between a Hawaiian shirt and a dress shirt to the last interview. This kind of approach is the only thing that works for me.

There is no big mystery; I believe it is proposed as that because the politicians just want to act in their own self-interest or that of lobbyists and not those of their constituents.
