Great idea. Liars and thieves would kill it. They kill all the ideas that can work, until liars and thieves are under control nothing will change.

The bill is a pure lie. They worry about anonymous dissidents, not pornagraphers. They use the word "child" to promote fear and confusion they can hide behide. Nothing new, WE HAVE SEEN THEIR KIND BEFORE. And on it goes.

It is working, its just far, far from what its users really need. Just like Windows. All about a better user experience and we as leaders are missing the point. Nobody is setting a useful standard, nobody with power is looking at it from the bottom up, which is what separates Apple from Ms when it comes to UI and UX. The president is just like Bill in this situation, essentially considered the leader but without any power to changed flawed ideology.

Philosophically, you can blame Capitalism, at least in the abstract. Every man for himself is why they have these problems, and that is the heart of Capitalism. Because they don't think of society and really only their own rewards, they are oblivious to the experience of their users. Yes, Capitalism is the very essence of the problem, at least our current version of it, which is why the groups with the greatest amount of capital are generally the worst at concern for customers.

It's not at all hard, it's a philosophical problem. They simply believe their concerns are more important than the users. It's not hard or complicated, they're just philosophicaly fools because they believe what they want matters. It doesn't, and they can't wrap their heads around that. It doesn't at all when customers suffer because all they get depends on customers getting what they need. It's a simple concept that they don't understand because they are deluded into thinking they are worth more, by virtue of their status and positions. A delusion that they spend most of their energy defending. You simply cannot serve two masters, and this is Capitalism at it's finest.

Much, much better not to see a stream of ads. That's what's being left out of the discussion. The truth. Don't forget about the point of everything, to make a better life for the living, not just the shareholders. That seems to get left out a lot.

Everybody get over it, preventing anonominity and privacy (as each individual personally feels it), is a fools game. In the long run there will be no (as in absolute zero) acceptance of corporate need to determine appropriate levels of privacy. This is because people are not fools. Facebook is going down because they misunderstood how people feel about privacy, and a poor replacement (privacy wise) will meet the same fate. As the saying goes, you can fool some of the people some of the time yada-yada.... The shame is just in how much they leave on the table by trying to take to much, but nothing new, and on we go.

Yes, the abstract thinker does hold onto more actual knowledge then the concrete detail thinker. Breadth really does outway depth in terms of true thought, but in the mechanized specialty world of now limiting the brain to be concerned with only a certain set of repeatable, hard to perfect or continually repeat procedures is what is rewarded for most people. We don't pay you to think, ya know ;)

Different was the wrong word. How is it any better(for the targeted) is the question. The assumption that " I know you'll like this" is at best a horrible guess and a lie at worst. I question the belief that tracking a few purchases gives one the ability to have insight into anothers desire to buy your shit.

A shotgun or a rifle, both are pointed at targets. But yes, some would prefer a cleaner kill. What I'm saying is those who Target their customers better help mostly just themselves and there is no need to lie about it. At least for the publics benefit.

Then the kids are right, textbooks are just for losers. Losers of memory, which in the real world gets so many the "loser" tag.

How is it any different then say, the mormans or whatever knocking on a million doors? Sure the few who convert are happy to have been targeted, but what about all the other people who have been bothered and made to do something just to be as they were before being targeted? "Targeted" in any way, shape, or form is predatory and disrupts the many for the pleasure of a few. Don't pretend it is a good thing for the group.

Symbioses is the issue. The entire f-ing problem. People refuse to give up anything to get a better relationship so they create predatory disguises, try and polish them up and endlessly research ways to hunt customers instead of being one with them. Those who evolve to become one in need and desire with both customers and constituents wiil reap great rewards, monetarily and politically.Someday, someday this society will grow the fuck up.

Judged by reality, by what really is, the truth. It's been called lots of things and names but it is just what is. People can't judge intentions accuratly, thus the incredible confusion over whether it matters. It's a matter of faith I suppose.

Make no mistake, you are only judged by your true intentions. People,and life, is imperfect and endlessly flawed, what was intended is really all you have in the end, all that really matters to the truth. Yes, results change circumstances and end pain, but the true measure of a man remains his thoughts. Not his wallet, or his treasures or his effect on his environment. What he is inside is what he would be with the power to do as he intended, because the truth wants only to know what he is with great power, because it is the wielding of power that determines the good, and usefulness of a man, to both individual people and to the whole truth of societies singularity.
