As far as I know as long as the change was made outside of an ongoing conflict and it's reasonable to assume it wasn't done to evade a potential one, it would actually protect you from being sent to your death

Not even that. I guarantee you that once really good brain computer interfaces are a thing, investments into "brain in a vat" companies are going to start being a thing. Because keeping just the brain young and then alive is almost certainly very possible if that's the whole focus.

Good. If there's one company that deserves to have their stuff pirated, it's Nintendo.
Without any sort of AI we'd probably be left with the most exciting yearly releases being 3-5% performance increases in hardware (while being 20% more expensive of course), the 100000th javascript framework and occasionally a new windows which everybody hates. People talk about how population collapse is going to mess up society, but I think complete stagnation in terms of new consumer goods/technology are just as likely to do the deed. Maybe AI will fail to improve from this point, but that's a dark future to imagine. Especially if it's for the next 50 years.
These amazing machines weren't consistently able to tell if an image had a bird in it or not up until like 8 years ago. If you use AI as a calculator where you need it to be precise, that's on you.
What's with his obsession with GPT-5? Altman has conistently been saying that there will be no GPT-5 this year almost since the years beginning. He's acting like OpenAI promised GPT-5 and are unable to release it or something.

I had a dream like that a few months ago. Woke up around 5 times in my supposed bed. Each wakeup became more and more realistic but there was always something out of place like my lamp suddenly not being there or my door being open which then would make me "wake up" again. I was pretty damn conscious/lucid by the last wakeup but I didn't realize I was dreaming until I turned on the light, turned on the TV, switched to YouTube, selected a video, watched some of it and saw the video controls being wrong. Being aware of me having woken up so many times already at this point and this also being fake gave me the biggest sense of dread I've felt in a long long time. Luckily then I actually woke up for real.

Most likely you'll be playing alongside or against AIs without ever knowing. Either AIs from the game developers to make their online game seem more popular or people who want their stats leveled up without any effort on their part.

A few months ago ai generated videos of people getting arrested for wearing big boots went viral on TikTok. I think this sort of silly "interdimensional cable" stuff will be really big on these short form video type sites once this level of quality becomes available to everyone.
I honestly expected video generation to get stuck at barely consistent 5 second clips without much movement for the next few years. This is the type of stuff I expected to maybe be possible towards the end of the decade. Maybe we really are still at the bottom of the S curve which is scary to think about.
As if the average zoomer has any more technical knowledge beyond using their smartphone to scroll through social media than the average boomer.
I think the pushback will be pretty insignificant simply based on the fact that compared to Google Glass, they really don't stand out as much.

They must've done that intentionally. You can't tell me he wouldn't have been able to communicate through drawing, writing or some sort of made up sign language that he's hungarian or that he's mentally well.
He should publish an emulated version on steam with an option to download the rom through it. Valve usually lets others use their IP then.
