quite unrealistic imo, thus we (maybe and hopefully) needn't worry about the bland minority report future you're hypothesizing :)

This is depressing, don't you think? :/
well said. well, sad. but true ...
Thank you! Taking that refactoring advice at face value when I still was quite junior led to me writing an immensely over-abstracted framework that bit me in the butt for years afterwards when trying to debug or add a new feature. Wasn't easy to unlearn...
Also, of course, the 73 would have to have a hook, which shortens the landing quite some (as well as the lifespan of the fuselage, I assume), as long as you catch the wire, that is. Wingspan-wise, this could also work. @RedBull, how bout it?!
Wow, thank you for this gem!!!
Valid inquiry!
Disclaimer: I also read it as rude at first glance.
Question: Can you classify what is rude or not for autistic people in general or is it more likely that you might perceive something as not rude which other autistic people might perceive as rude?
your brain is not alone with this wish!
Is it pointless though if e.g. there are no ads?
This kind of wonderfully civilised and respectful discussion between people who do not see something the same way is why I love hn. Thank you both, have a good Sunday!
"We" do not talk about musicians stealing chord progressions, at least I do not. There is (in western diatonic music) a quite limited number of chord progressions (that sound "good"/"acceptable" to ears used to this kind of music) Should new music be prohibited from being created once they've been used? Should painters not be allowed to use a certain combination of colors anymore because another artist already used them? As a (studied but now hobby) musician, I think that is utter nonsense, excuse my french...
But do you think “work they did once” holds true for the majority of software that uses subscription based pricing? No updates, no migrations to new OSs, no bugfixing, no support, would you want that? Should people just write perfect software off the bat?
Hey Sean, really cool you’re here :)
Well, I lick most of my plates clean, our small washer takes 3 and a half hours and everything is cleaned just fine. EU citizen here :)
Well put.
This is infuriating. I've also had my fair bit of trouble with App Store Review but your this really takes the freaking biscuit. C'mon y'all, let's get this post some visibility.
I’ve wanted to play with something like this for ages. Really nice, thx :)
This! Also, tone and general behaviour matters. I think many comments here mistake this beautiful article for advice to use words like this.
I’ve read both his biographic books multiple times, read into the Feynman Lectures and watched many an interview and other stuff with and about him.
If I’d ever gotten to meet him (he’s a top candidate on my “if you could have dinner with any person, living or dead” list) and he’d have called an idea of mine stupid, I’m pretty sure that my reaction wouldn’t have been to be hurt. I would have hoped for him to explain to me why it’s stupid or give me a hint on where to look to find out for myself. Context matters. Character matters.
Don’t call people stupid. Don’t call things (or ideas) stupid unless you can explain what’s stupid about the thing or idea and why.
If you’re passionate about something, try to appreciate when someone tells you, without euphemism, why it won’t work.
If anyone has an idea on how one could get to travel back and meet him, we can find out together why it’s stupid. Or “impossible” :)
Personally, when I’m writing for fun, I especially try writing quality code. There, I can reason about it, learn it and do it without management breathing down my neck due to business constraints like time and money.
Yes, that would be amazing! I absolutely adored playing this game on our first family PC back in the day.
Thanks :)
Hey 82-111-98 (:D).
Thanks a lot for the feedback and for trying our App. We're happy you like it :)
I don't think you missed the reply, it just took me a while :D
If, while recording, the button said "Trying Stereo HD", it should have recorded in Stereo. Thanks for double checking :)
Oh, sorry, my bad. Currently, you can do one recording in high quality stereo without having to subscribe or commit to anything. To do that, tap the "Try Stereo HD" button. It should then say "Trying Stereo HD" and the resulting recording should be in stereo.
Sorry for the misunderstanding, I hope I could clarify :)
That's an interesting point. Currently, you could write that down in the Notes of that recording or take a photo of your Capo position for example.
Thanks a bunch :)
High quality stereo recording is only available in our premium subscription (20$/year). The subscription comes with a one month free trial, which should give you some time to try it and see if you like it :)
somewhere between voice memos and garage band
Nicely put :)
