Depends what he wants to play. Sim racing could work, as it's mostly foot control with some arm movement for the wheel. Can be done with one arm and one leg if need be.

Better cross-platform support. In my experience .NET works fine in Mono anyway, so by extension F# is likely fine on Linux/OSX, but your mileage may vary.

How much swap space should you allocate for e.g. 16GB RAM?

Every reference I've read suggests there's no need for swap space once you have more than ~2GB of RAM, but I find that extremely hard to believe.

Seems like a Ubuntu issue... uses 5% CPU on my 2630QM under Windows, which is a slower chip.

Opera Mini has a proxy server it uses to compress data before it reaches your device. This is extremely useful when using mobile data because it's both faster and cheaper. (At least, in Australia, where mobile Internet is both slow and expensive)

This makes perfect sense; we think of programming languages changing the way solutions are designed all the time. That's why we learn so many different ones.

Unfortunately I doubt this will be proven at any time in the near future... it is nearly impossible to isolate this characteristic from other factors.

This trend towards ridiculously large font sizes is becoming exceedingly annoying. There's been so many articles about it, and many pseudo-techy (trendy) blogs are adopting the large size. 16pt minimum? Really? There's a reason that so few sites and text editors use that by default. It may look great on your retina display but on 99% of screens out there it just makes your site look like it's aimed towards kids.

The heat causes the brittle solder joints to crack; applying more heat melts the solder and "reflows" it.

This is a common fix for PC video cards too.
