AIUI, case law has generally concluded that requesting videos is unnecessary and prejudicial, and therefore forbidden, whereas in-person hiring has a much stronger case for being useful for other reasons. If a company literally only ever hired people through in-person career fairs, that would probably get examined with scrutiny as well, but that's rare. I am nothing like a lawyer, though, and could be entirely wrong.

This really ought to be included in the comment, since it excludes a large portion of potential applicants.

Skill growth while working remotely slows and plateaus. There's plenty of evidence for this at this point, and I attribute most of the catastrophe in junior engineers at the big companies to it.

I'd rather work hybrid, getting working time at home is great, but I'm not foolish enough to cripple myself long-term by insisting on favoring short-term comfort.

Wisconsin would not have been sufficient. Neither would Wisconsin + Michigan.

Also, her victory was so overdetermined that about five things had to go wrong for her to lose. (Email investigation, flawed campaign, the last-minute Comey letter, probably Bernie making trouble for months after he was statistically eliminated but that's hard to tell, Russia intervention, bad electoral college distribution, probably some others I'm forgetting right now)
