I'm all for getting rid of threads, but what are you going to replace them with? Traditional functional languages may be the most obvious solution, but they're also among the most impractical of solutions. Is there anything else out there that can replace threading needs, without throwing out the book on programming? It seems like what we need hasn't been invented yet.

One thing I'm not a fan of C# is how often library usually lack bundled code source, while other similar language(eg. Java), you can use "Go to to Definition" on pretty much any third-party library/anything without hassle.

Tim Cook has added $1 trillion dollars to Apple's market cap since he took over.

Apple's ability to sell a new IPhone every year is honestly the stuff of legends, it almost defies logic but they keep on executing it.

It is a bit interesting to see misses from Macs, IPads and services. Which tells you Apple is still very much an iphone story.

I believe the reason it became a huge scandal was because, the money that was used for the purchase wasnt given to the university rather than accomplice's pocket. Thus, not providing further opporunities for the needy. And for you to legally purchase a seat in those universities, it was gonna cost them much higher price tag.

Why is there so much hostility against an achievement that is still pretty rare? How many countries out of all the countries can boast about their space program?

Why does everything have to be so political. People are ready to take a Jab at Modi's govt at every single opportunity.

why does anything Apple releases come with an expensive price tag? I know the quality is supposed to be high. But, come on.

I can literally get a Audio Technica Headset for that price tag.

The Neapolitan Novels were quite well recieved. Eventhough they are widely loved, it never felt like the story was simplified in order to reach a large audience. Ferrante wove together the culture and politics of Naples over the decades with the intimate personal lives of the characters. I look forward to revisiting these books when I'm older, since I'm sure my perspective on main character’s various life stages will change as my own life changes (I'm 28 now).

Was this always the case, or is this the face of 21st century? I used to see so many Mom-And-Pop shops that are now being replaced by the bigger power seeking companies.

If this is the way we are heading, then I am kinda scared and feel like the only way for me to not be in the chopping block is to join them.

My opinion on HFTs with Robinhood It honestly doesn't matter. Every brokerage has some kind of deal with HFTs. Retail investors already have many disadvantages compared to institutions and this small "disadvantages" won't outweigh the benefit of free commissions.

I have seen many articles across other social platforms chastising Robinhood with its dealings with HFTs. I realized that there's no free lunch man. we need to realize that fast markets aren't our enemy.

According to the author, there will be one after someone solves the 0.31 BTC puzzle.

"I will most certainly do so <provide a solution> but at this moment the 0.31 BTC wallet is still unsolved. I'm surprised because I thought the solution to the 310 BTC wallet was the most complex one." - author

I always started and stopped reading Code complete book. The most recent strategy that really worked for me was. I googled summary notes for that book to recognize the topics that I wanted to learn and ditched the ones that are redundant.

This rejuvinated my interest and productivity for reading that book.
