In the US, nurses suffer some of the highest rates of job-related injuries. I know a male ex-nurse and a male ex-EMT, both of whom left the career due to injuries. That I know more male than female ex-nurses (ex- for this reason) suggests that male nurses are de facto called upon for heavy-lifting jobs in the hospitals. It makes sense, but those are exactly some of the situations that lead to OTJ injuries.

Slavery is at least as old as recorded human history, and had nothing to do with racism in most cases (although it often involves xenophobia). The Torah and Old Testament give specific moral guidelines on how to acquire and keep slaves. Prisoners of war are often made into slaves (from earliest times through today's conflicts). You seem to be conflating "slavery" with "18th-century US slavery".
If slavery truly provided no economic advantages, it's hard to explain why countless human civilizations have engaged in it. It's wrong on every moral front, but riches were inarguably built upon its back.

It's a common metaphor, but it's just a simpleminded metaphor. The US Treasury printing has literally nothing to do with inflation (if it's printing adequate amounts of replacement bills). No US government account is paid with fresh bills, hot from the Treasury presses. Those unwrinkled notes are sent to replace damaged bills returned from banks at a strict 1:1 rate.
Instead, money is created by issuing bonds (via the interest paid). The possibility of creating inflation is still present, but no printing presses are involved (Treasury nor otherwise).
