As I've said before, every time a new "eevann fasterr!!!111!!" version of Chrome [for Android] is released:

What's the point of making incremental speed improvements to the browser whilst continuing the policy of not supporting plugins [eg. a good ad blocker]? On most sites, any gains in page rendering times are more than offset by the additional burden of downloading all the additional trackers, adverts, etc.

Until Chrome for android supports plugins, I'll continue to use Firefox across all my devices, even though I prefer Chrome on the desktop.

Funny this should come up now.

I'm on holiday at the moment and have been having geek fun by SSHing into a raspberryPi back at my home [in a different country], taking photos with its camera and uploading them to Google Drive where i can view them from here.

It did idly cross my mind that this kind of setup had the potential for "remote control" crime. I expect we'll start seeing more of this sort of thing, in future.

Well, it may be difficult to fathom what this project is all about but, at least, I've learned one thing. I've been spelling FUCHSIA wrong all these years. I always thought it was FUSCHIA.

[As I have several growing in the garden, this is an important development]

Can we have some sort of "actually exists" flag for HN? I'm sick of clicking on stories about interesting sounding products, only to find I'm actually taken to some crowd-funding campaign page.

If you give me enough money up front, I'll probably find a way to start breeding unicorns that shit gold bars. But I'm not going to be penning "Unicorn Excretes Bullion" headlines just yet.

Judging by the map mock-up, that is a massive land mass. It would also push the Netherlands well into territorial waters claimed Britain. This has got to be a non-starter. It's either a speculative article or the [pretty messed up] auto-translation is way off the mark.

Any genuine Dutchies care to chip in with an explanation?
