I can't read the article because it blocks me. But I see all the actual search results. Just the AI part says "Got it! Message disregarded. Let me know if you need help with anything else." and shows half a blank screen.

EDIT: I guess if you're on a smaller screen you don't see the search results on the bottom because of the AI answer blank space.

Depends on where in the US. Most populated places have inexpensive internet. Smaller towns have these issues because there's not much competition.

All of that is true. However, to be fair, these are older sites. The newer ones are generally cleaner and usable[1]. Even the services provided is much more streamlined.

Looks to me like it was a bug. Not giving access to any contacts broke the app completely but limited access works fine except for an annoying persistent in app notification.

You can now setup Vocal Shortcuts[1] which can be used to run any shortcut or action with almost any trigger word and without saying "Siri". However, I'm not certain if it can wake the device from sleep or not.

If apple cared about providing encryption to the masses, ADP would be enabled by default and you'd have to opt out of it.

Apple is also a company that needs to cater to its customers. If they enabled ADP by default and customer locks themselves out and goes to Apple, they want to be able to help. ADP is intended for people who understand what it is but nit savvy enough to run their own system.

If the goal is to commoditize, does it not make sense to have a humanoid that you can sell to individual households? Not everyone would want to have a purpose-built robot arm in their kitchen. But this may be an easier sell if it works well.

Though, the youtube commercial states new internal design “optimized for new battery”.

They should study Canada. We’re already running that experiment.

That’s splitting hairs. Most people refer to running locally as in running model on your hardware rather than the providing company.

I also find it useful for group texts when a long conversation happens. Easier to get an idea when I don’t care to join in. Another use case for me is image descriptions, particularly in carplay.
