Just a note: the link for Staff Software Engineer for Distributed Systems is returning 404. Also, does the company considers Senior React Developers (Web) for the React Native role?

What a great experience applying, thanks for that! Its organized, easy to navigate, descriptions are clear and straight to the point, it even has got a nice design! Talk about raising the bar!

This might be a case of a rabbit you do not want to chase.

I'm sure the researchers will all collectively realize this, if it were to be the case, and disregard their 12 year academic journey with their great salaries in favor of research into more important topics like world hunger, renewable energy, etc.

I'm so sure that the percentage of sureness is an imaginary, quantum-entangled value between -7 and 13 billion percent.

You're just using power that could go towards training a better LLM.

What if I haven't found that special someone yet, the one that will help me raise the next better LLM? I think I already got like 40% of the dataset I find valuable, all I need is to find someone with the other 40% and we could go in a journey together to find the remaining 20%. Sounds like the adventure of a life time.

Yes, but you could negotiate a token with each user on startup and if someone starts abusing your service you can block that access (perhaps automatically) or know who it is by authenticating the user.

Run "ssh -T git@github.com" command.

It should error like this:

    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
@ WARNING: REMOTE HOST IDENTIFICATION HAS CHANGED! @
    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
IT IS POSSIBLE THAT SOMEONE IS DOING SOMETHING NASTY!
Someone could be eavesdropping on you right now (man-in-the-middle attack)!
It is also possible that a host key has just been changed.
The fingerprint for the RSA key sent by the remote host is
    SHA256:uNiVztksCsDhcc0u9e8BujQXVUpKZIDTMczCvj3tD2s.
    Please contact your system administrator.
Note that the SHA256 present there matches perfectly the one github send. If you don't remember the very first time you connected to github you also had to accept the key. The warning above shows up because the server is saved as a different RSA, for the SSH client it seems that someone setup a server for github but has a different key, which could mean someone is trying to trick you into connecting into the wrong server. This could also mean that github changed their RSA key which is why they published this article.

No, they are lost forever... Humm... Wait I have an idea:

Prompt: How can entropy be reversed?

Reply: There is no single answer to this question as entropy is a thermodynamic property and therefore its reversal depends on the specific system under consideration. In general, however, entropy can be reversed by either increasing the temperature of the system (thus increasing the average kinetic energy of the particles) or by decreasing the volume of the system (thus increasing the number of collisions between particles).

    npm install -g @kaluma/cli

    kaluma flash index.js
This installs kaluma, finds the connected device, uploads the code and runs it. Love this simplicity, sounds like it was made the right way. Is there any posts with benchmarks? Very interested about the timing limits of the event loop implementation such as setInterval(()=>{}, 1); and other cpu heavy stuff like math stuff and pin output change speed from javascript.

vscode connected with ssh is close: It's not sharing because it only allows you to edit the server file system as if you had opened a project locally, but it does give you the feeling that you have the project there, and every time you save it goes directly to the server via ssh.

Thanks for this but could someone include a sample video? I know this is an old post but it's not worth to install everything to make that work only to learn that the stabilization quality is subpar or that it leaves strange artifacts on videos.

Don't worry, the apps know where the files are when you need them. And you only need them when you are using the app, after all you will own nothing and you will be... wait now that I think about it, you do have the files somewhere on your hard drive, right? so they're technically actually yours, right? my mistake, yeah so nothing to worry here.

And there are some rare exceptions of those apps that uploads your stuff to the cloud for security and for easy backups, such a great technology because if you ever lose your computer you can just buy another one and the 'files' will be magically there (as long as you keep paying the app subscription)! Hopefully the author also implemented the app in a way that can be used offline.

Btw you will need the newest version of the computer because your apps updated so that's also great because new features are good! Your files are basically your creation, you can't just leave them behind.

Don't worry there's a library for that. Probably. And it might or might not have performance issues and odd behavior but that's for the next developer to solve.

Wise people appear to never be quite sure about what they say, so they rarely incur huge changes in people life, but dumb people have such a limited map of reality that everything is crystal clear and therefore they are the ones people pay attention to.

A good nutritionists would never say such nonsense but that varies on how we definite "good".

Every single company I joined that promised a stress-free environment has outright lied to me to the point that I will find it suspicions if HR mentions how happy and balanced the work is. It is a huge deal for me but HR will never be honest about it to me because if they did they wouldn't hire much and would be replaced by someone who says "Working here is a fun challenge where you will be tested for your vast knowledge, quick understanding of complicated subjects, reason about its working and explain it to superiors, quality and fast deliveries of working products, and will certainly grow like no where else!"

This reminds me of the author of "Man's Search for Meaning" who wrote a international master piece while on a concentration camp. Yes, growth is there to be had, but that is an experience I would rather avoid, thank you.

Yeah, I don't think they will cease. Frustrated managers that cannot fill a position will always produce these as they literally have nothing to do with the lack of workers. My university was filled with 'accelerator' companies because of this: It is very hard to find talent on the market and everyone is aware of the reason. It also doesn't matter that everyone commenting here knows the reason and are willing to spell it out every time one of these articles shows up.

There are thousand plus companies that are specialized on finding talent for other companies just because of how difficult it is. I wouldn't be surprised if there already exists companies that hire these talent-seeking companies for your company.

I'm from Brazil and we have a right-wing politician, and the same argument is running around for the same reasons. Maybe it's not a world wide effect but it sure involves too many variables to attribute it all to one actor. But if it goes up you can bet the opposition will say its his fault, and if it goes down you can bet the opposition will say it is not his fault. Depends on how self-aware the person you're talking to is, and that skill is useless on the internet as it makes you unsure about your convictions.

I'm not willing to change the program that I use to run scripts for a performance improvement that is difficult to reproduce and partially theoretical. Thanks but I'll stay with the long-lived open source solution while it works fine.

I self diagnose myself with attention disorder (towards the uninteresting), muscle fatigue (only at work), mental exhaustion (except for videogames), extreme sleepiness (getting out of bed is near impossible) and social aversion (everyone that I talk to tries to convince me to take a bath or something equally terrifying). I also get sick easily and only drink energy drinks. I'm so sad all the time and have no plans for the future but if I wasn't afflicted by this condition I would be a productive person, I swear!

Am hyperboling but the difference between being raised to think you're a victim and actually suffering from something else is difficult to get right. Infant traumas can lead people to become so daringly incompetent they think they have a problem other than needing psychological help. No one likes to realize they are stupid but the stupider you are the more it hurts.
