That being said, it would be nice if classic tubes of yesteryear can be remade efficiently. Especially for antique radio enthusiasts.

Spam doesn't bother me anymore, but unsolicited phone calls do. The majority of phone calls that come in are not legitimate.

I can see having an open anonymous FTP that was read-only as a way of serving some files that needed to be downloaded and didn't contain any sensitive information. It's no different from providing a URL to them.

Or even a write-only one so people could deposit data.

The only real problem is a read-write one where people can use it to exchange information.

I had a .to domain for a while, and I had an email address "firstname@firstname.to" where firstname is my first name. I wanted to use it when I needed to give out emails causally, like if someone from Church or some other group wanted my email.

I gave up on it, not because of computer validation but because of stupid people! Nobody would "get" the .to domain and they'd always think there should be a .com or .gmail.com on the end of it. Especially older people.

So I gave it up.

This is exactly what American intelligence shoukd do: gather intelligence from other countries. It's when they spy on their own citizens that I get a little upset.

I'm a woman with an EE degree. I hate non-tech "women" who go to conferences that have no real interest in (like Pycon, Ms. Richards) just to push some wacky agenda.

These "women" aren't making it easier for real girls in real engineering programs.
