Nope, a comment that flippant about wasting RAM use deserves that snark. It's always been bad to do it, and it's even worse nowadays.

Have you heard that there's a RAM shortage?
The parent was saying that AI wrote that, not you.
Are you aware of what the US regime has done to Iran? There's a reason they say that.
"Our adversaries" are in the US government, or is this not crystal clear by now?
And more importantly, resisted releasing the files as hard as he could.
Wasn't asking you, and that isn't what my next sentence said at all. Your reading comprehension could use some work.
Would now be a good time to point out that I said that "It's not proof" and "weak evidence"? Because that is what I said.
Not to the same extent at all. If you use ChatGPT for a while, you'll see it writes like that very frequently. Humans do write like that sometimes, but not with anywhere the frequency that ChatGPT does it. That's weak evidence for it being ChatGPT.
From all I've seen, he actually argued against this war prior to paying lip service to it. He'd be an improvement.
"Network effects aren't just a moat, they're a wall." is a VERY ChatGPT way to write. It's not proof, but the parent is right that this smells a bit of AI writing.
Impeachment, and then we could get there. It's not impossible.
People are admitting that now. It's happening. There's some hope that something can be done about him.
That isn't true. There's actually a large number of people, probably in the millions, but probably not a majority of those who voted for him, who no longer support him in any way. And of the ones who remain, yes: they're pretty dense to still support him now. There are some lunatics who genuinely believe that the US has the right to dominate and exploit all other nations, but the majority of them simply believe the lies he's telling. I've already seen that when they are confronted with the facts about, say, Gaza, some of them can change their minds. It would be a mistake to turn them away instead of treating them like potential allies. There really is something more important at stake.
If it's being burned, it isn't helium.
Why the personal attacks on someone who's trying to explain to you why the Democrats lost, and why they will continue to lose, now when it's more important than ever? Since when did he say he prefers the lunatics in power now? The election showed the result of attitudes like yours, where you say "vote for us or you're a despicable person" to undecided voters just makes you lose. Ordinary people hear that and they think: fuck you, if you're going to try to tell me what to do, then I'm voting against YOU.
The left in the United States is a group of extreme orthodoxy and excommunication of everyone who doesn't toe the line on absolutely everything, and what you just said is a great example of this. He doesn't agree with you on everything, so he supports pedophiles! Right now, the right is fracturing and millions of people who voted for Trump realize that he's a madman. Right now is the time for the left to move to the center and accept these people into the fold, and accept that they won't agree on every single thing, because there's something far more important at stake.
I know they're saying it's that high, but I doubt those numbers. Further, that number is going down every day. People are massively against this, and I would estimate that millions of his former supporters have left as they see what he really is. Of the ones who are still there, a few of them are lunatics who think that it is okay for America to invade, conduct regime change, and kill at will, but the great majority of them are people who won't admit to themselves the truth because they will be cast out of their tribe. Tribalism like that is a very powerful force in people, on both sides (and this whole concept of left and right sides is really something that needs to go away: it is really us vs the elites). Some of these people can be reached, and when they come to their senses, shouldn't be rejected. Large numbers already have, and I do believe it's in the millions.
In this world, the one where China isn't invading its neighbors and overthrowing governments all around the world.
Your comment is actually a great example of why his approval rating is as high as it is. It's because those who still support him know what you think of them. They know that you think of them as less than human, and they are willing to do anything, even support a complete monster like Trump (and he is a murdering, sociopathic monster), to fight against you. And one promise he is keeping, along all the many he's broken, is that he is fighting the left.
Don't think that people like you, who so casually dehumanize those who disagree, have no responsibility in him getting elected.
jatora, your honest comment is flagged and your account seems to be dead.
How is it possible to still not understand that our main adversaries are in our own government?
What do you think ICE is for?
I've been using opam and dune for a few years now and they haven't annoyed me much since I got used to how to set up projects. What are the issues with them?
We have to do something. This is something. Therefore, we have to do this.
Thanks for explaining it so well. I was thinking that simply losing the bank was enough in this case, but you make a very good point, and this kind of insight is what's good about this site.
It seems like there are circumstances that make it reasonable, though. And this isn't wage theft. This is where through no fault of the company, their bank closed down and their money is no longer theirs. It is in no way reasonable to make the company owners destitute over two weeks of pay. The corporate veil should remain here.
You're asking someone for a source for their opinion, instead of understanding what an opinion is?
Bullshit, it's not spyware. It seems it's no longer possible to discuss it here without the trolls coming out.
How is the ECC support deficient on later CPUs? I checked the docs, it does seem to be supported on the 7000x series.
I sure would love it if they came up with a way to block those "intent to leave" popups too.
