Absolutely. You could even add fake citations to online newspapers – the odds of someone checking are very low, and I continually stumble upon either blatant fabrications or misunderstandings that have stood there "sourced" for years on high-traffic articles.

That is a fairly large number of the population that would be placed on an expensive drug with several side effects.
The drug has several non-minor side effects, is prohibitively expensive, and is the same as the treatment for someone who already has the virus. I for one think it's improper to prescribe a drug with these nephrological side effects to a large number of otherwise healthy individuals, not even accounting for the cost.

I feel that's a bit of an overstatement, having studied them a bit is one thing, but most people here cannot comfortably communicate at all in Danish or a 4th language, and cannot read a book in these languages.

Yes, CFS does often comes as a result of a mononucleosis, about 22% of adult mono cases have CFS after 6 months, and <5% have CFS after 2 years. It's much better to contract mono as a child.
You don't get "tested" for CFS yet, it's currently a diagnosis given when all other explanations have been tried.
I have severe CFS, but I personally don't take it badly when someone suggests it's psychosomatic. Since everything I know and everything I feel is a hallucination of the mind, I have no way of knowing what my subconsciousness is influencing. "Psychosomatic" also doesn't mean "it's your imagination", but that it may be an interplay between mind and body. The mind does control many responses and hormonal activity.
I just fail to see what exactly tracking teenagers would be keeping them "safe" from. It seems like it wouldn't result in anything but resentment and sneaky behaviour.
