I'm very interested in DarkTable, but I have years on photography in Adobe Lightroom. I'm growing tired of LightRoom, but I feel like I'm now locked into that ecosystem. Is there some kind of migration to move my LightRoom edits out of there and into something like DarkTable?
The ONLY Apple AI feature that was even remotely interesting to me was the photo clean up. Works pretty good for removing objects from a photo, which would be hard to do on a phone otherwise without opening in another app or messing with it on a desktop application
I've still got a 55" Sony HDTV from around 2008. Zero network or smart features at all. Just a way to display images from another box. It's been so good and still is. I kind of of want to upgrade to something larger and in 4K, but every time I see an article like this I remember what is actually available in the market I feel like I'd rather just save my money and keep what I have that works how I like it

Also possibly finding similar colors that could be combined in rules instead of repeated separately.

What in the world are you trying to learn from applicants with these questions? How can a hiring manager look at a screenshot of someone's computer and make a decision to proceed or not?
I love this, but could you imagine if this were something done today? In the current political climate and news cycles it would be "look at how the stupid {{political_party}} is wasting your tax dollars!" or probably every worse/dumber things than that.
Oh man I am trying to apply but the application has so many odd questions I have never seen on any job application before:
- "What are the most important things that shaped your personality and world-view?"
- "What are your prospects, dreams, or expectations, career-wise?"
- "Upload a screenshot of your desktop"
- "Explain the organization of your desktop"

Way back in middle school a friend and I started a web page business... In which we made a webpage for exactly one local company.
I assume Dreamweaver still exists as an Adobe product now? I haven't thought about it in years.
I was also once dissed by Steve Jobs at a keynote!
Back when widgets first came out for OS X I was in college and was beginning to learn programming. I was sill very bad, but these widgets interested me because they were essentially just little HTML/CSS/JS webpages. I looked around and saw there was no widget for CNN news.
CNN had RSS feeds of their news, I found some other widget that displayed an RSS feed and basically just plugged this new data source in and it worked! Next I just restyled it to look like it the CNN website which at the time was light blue and pretty ugly, but I made this widget to match.
I released it, and it got some downloads! Months later at the WWDC keynote, I was watching live and I saw Steve sit down at the demo computer and show off some widgets on the big screen. The CNN widget I made was there on screen at the keynote! I didn't believe it at first, I was in shock. Next though, when he showed my widget his only comment was that "it's not as nice looking as [some other news widget] but it gets the job done."
Ouch! Not only was Steve Jobs personally aware of a piece of software I (kind of) wrote but he demoed it at WWDC! But he also said it looked pretty bad... And he was right, it did.
Shortly after this I restyled the widget to look nice on its own, regardless of what the CNN website actually looked like. While this stung, it was a good design lesson to learn. Thanks Steve!
Literally just finished a huge re-write of an angular 4 app to latest Angualr 7 today, to revise the UI and improve everything. As I was about to merge it in I see this... time to upgrade!
