With a basic rolling code that works and maybe still used in garage doors, but afaik current decent car alarms exchange encrypted keys several times between car and keyfob that you can't just replay. Even simply generating totp based keys and invalidating them in a few minutes is enough to make that kinda useless in practice.

On the other hand, if Niemann did exactly the same and researched less-known moves, he'd know how to play against them too. That won't actually prove he is cheating at that game. Just the fact that he analyzed them earlier. You'd need a significant number of such honeypot "incidents" to properly accuse someone of cheating.

I guess when doing prep work, you analyze most of the top moves computer would suggest, so simply stealing it won't help that much, unless you really missed something. You'd need to find some move/line that your opponent has not prepared, analyze it deeper than he did and hope that actual game goes exactly as planned to implement it. The deeper it goes into a game - less chances you end up with that position on the board.

Also accusing someone should be backed by some kind of proof. Even a subpar player with some luck might memorize something a computer would suggest and implement it, despite that it is way over his expected level, yet not getting actual suggestions during a game. Is that cheating?

There are lots of videos on youtube like "This trap will help you win lots of games", that 600 elo player can memorize and then get labeled as cheater, coz it's way over his elo level.

Next step would be to ponder whether computer assisted prep in general is cheating or not, really.

When you enable 2FA, you are given 10 backup codes for that specific reason and it tells you to print/save them, but everyone just ignores it - do it now.

You can also add multiple phone numbers, I got two just in case I loose one for some reason. Like if I loose my mobile, I'd need to sign in to google to locate it and I can use another number (my wife) to get 2FA code. And I have authy with my google 2FA by default, you can have multiple devices as well.

Problem is that you can't just go to Qatar and ask for some LNG delivery tommorow - they are supplying on long term contracts and they need to invest $$$ to increase production. Qatar already told EU (Germany?) that they can only supply extra if they sign a 20 year contract, not 1-2 years.

Can you name anything notable in Rust besides firefox internals off the top of your head? swhkd comes to mind in light of recent CVE series..

It looks like fans like Rust, but not many people actually want to use it, so they rewrite random stuff, so maybe others will notice it somehow and start using it.

Power users would like to get all the space, but when the choice is either you buy just one hdd and get some space or 4+ hdds to replace old array with a completely new one and then left over with unused old one - most would pick first option.

Market research show that noone used RSS/legacy addons/all the other customization options, yet Firefox market share somehow plummeted after they removed all of it.

Literally everything I liked about Firefox is gone, so I have no reason not to use Chrome instead anymore. They are mostly the same, Firefox is just uglier than Chrome now and I can't change that anymore.

When our admins actually care to migrate to java webstart and I can drop java plugin and firefox esr, I'll probably move to chrome, because selenium works better with chromedriver for me.

And yeah, I don't care much about which one loads page 0.5 secs faster - I used to download porn on a modem:) https://xkcd.com/598/
