At least from the truckers I watch on YouTube from Germany, there is already a shortage of rest stops for trucks. Sometimes you can see them even in the entrance of the rest stops, parked in a dangerous spot. If they all have to charge, then that becomes a problem, because they can’t find a space even „creatively“.
Not saying that electric trucks are bad, just one more problem to solve

Yes, although not as much. But I still keep my TI Nspire CX CAS charged for when I need it (needed it during my CS studies for adjacent topics). Specifically the CAS version is nice because it can simplify algebra for you, and even solve/rewrite an expression for a specific variable. There’s probably something I can use on my computer, I do like the ergonomics of the calculator though
They are actually of the same age, the iPhone 8 and X came out at the same time (yes it’s still confusing now)
Just for reference: if you need Subtitles on an OLED, e.g. on Netflix you can set the subtitles to grey (only in the Web app, but is used on all other apps). Had that same problem with the OLED
In Switzerland, most instructor cars are Diesels, since they have higher torque and are very hard to stall. Then you go home and drive your parent's petrol engine car and you stall it all the time
In German it's called the Kaufmanns-Und (roughly merchant's/salesman's And). I think it may be related to advertising, if you advertise a product name (or a producer name) with an "and" in it, the ampersand is much shorter and more visually appealing
To be honest, when I was very young, there was always the thrill something unexpected might happen on TV, and crashes were part of that. But this has quickly faded. I only dimly remember the Bianchi incident, at the time watching I didn't think too much of it. The Grosjean incident though was really something, and I got similar vibes a few weeks ago with the Schumacher (Mick) incident where he wasn't shown for a short time

(to GP) I really have to say, this is not how you should ask someone else to fix a problem. Going at the developers on a personal level is NEVER a good thing. If it was my project, I probably would have closed the issue completely after you insulted me this personally.

That sounds really interesting. You don't happen to have any pictures of it? I didn't find anything through Google, just that it existed.
I think the problem is security. Here in Switzerland, there's demos in various cities and also of course at Davos. If you would put them in trains, it would be harder to do it safely.
(of course, why they even need so much security is another thing)

Wow, this is weird. I'm from Switzerland and I'm getting blocked since "I'm from Germany". They say to check Maxmind's DB and it clearly says Switzerland too.
This reminds me of services blocking Switzerland because of EU regulations, even though it's not part of the EU. But country-specific blocking and misreading Switzerland for Germany, that's a new level.

One point I see, if your kid would go for an apprenticeship with the attention of going to a uni of applied sciences later, but then you decide to move to another country. But that's kind of something I can imagine, since your kid could also simply stay there and live as an adult.
As a Swiss citizen, I really, really like our model. The only problem I see, is that foreign people from all kind of countries don't know this system and think that their kids have to go to a "Gymnasium" to reach a university-level education later. That's probably something we should emphasize more!

As far as I understand, it's just electromagnetic waves. No current passing through to the car, but the coil can "register" a change in its magnetic field and can determine that it's a car and how fast it goes

I don't think he meant compressing 5 lines of "normal code" into a one-liner. He meant, actually removing it. Maybe the logic it provides is not needed anymore, or you could do it somewhere else in a far more readable way (I'm thinking about abstraction levels)
