It's weird how we're so strict on consenting adults gambling, but when underage children gamble on Counter Strike, we as a society deem it totally fine, acceptable, and normal.

I don't get it. Somehow, them being underage makes it better and not worse??

Agreed, the rest of the comments are delusional. First, you have to contact customer service, which takes a few days to get a response. Then you have to have another device to display the QR code on, which you won't have if you're travelling. They'll send you a QR code you have to scan with the device you're currently on, AND you'll have to do it without an internet connection. Meaning it just doesn't work, at all.

An offline device can take a SIM card just fine. But if you're setting up a new device, or setting up an existing device on a new country on eSim, doesn't matter, you can never connect, because you have to already have internet, to get internet.

Esim was a good idea, implemented so horribly it's worse than the 30 year old predecessor.

They always release a slowdown update to destroy their older hardware. I don't know why you're even questioning it

Not just confusing, but inconvenient! If you buy a 10th or 11th gen iPad plus the Apple Pencil that works with it, you have no way to charge that Pencil at all.

It can't charge from the iPad. It can't charge from USB-C. It can't charge from a Lightning charger.

You have to go out and buy a special charger that only charges the Apple Pencil and literally nothing else. It's a completely proprietary connection, a pointlessly inverted version of the Lightning connector, that never could and never will charge anything other than your stylus.

Despite Apple having the option of allowing it to charge from a Lightning cable, or Usb-C, or not charge at all and simply get power from the device light Samsung's S-Pen, Apple chose to opt for None Of The Above and allow the Apple Pencil to charge exclusively from the specific Apple Pencil charger.

Why?

Because screw you. Because Apple makes money when you buy that 20$ charging adapter and doesn't care that you have to carry that adapter with you everywhere now.

They could have made it charge from the iPad charger.

They could have made it charge from the iPhone charger.

They could have made it charge by attaching to the iPad.

They could have powered it wirelessly like Samsung and never need charging at all.

But no. They chose the worst of all worlds, the most painful, expensive, and inconvenient possible option, and allowed it to only charge from a specific "First generation Apple Pencil Charger" that isn't included with the iPad or even the Pencil itself.

That's right, you go out today and buy a brand new iPad and a brand new Apple Pencil, and you can't use the Pencil. At all. You have to also but the separate Apple Pencil Charging Adapter. Because Fuck You. We're Apple and Fuck You.

From what I've read about it all in the past, I feel like my intelligence level sits precisely between DCT and DFT. I seem to be able to mostly get Discrete Cosine Transform, but when confronted with Discrete Fourier Transform my brain simply shuts off and melts.

That's great, but the writing is still on the wall if Toyota doesn't get serious about electric cars.

With their current trajectory Toyota is headed at 1000mph directly towards being the next Blackberry, Kodak, Nokia or Blockbuster.

I say this as someone who owned a Prius for 10 years and loved it, and have also driven their hydrogen car. The BZ4X is badly named overpriced garbage, not enough and not good enough. The clock is ticking and they have to act yesterday to avert disaster and they're sitting their twiddling their thumbs.

Currently Tesla is the iPhone to Toyota's Nokia and they're going to have to work very hard very soon to turn that around or their company will die.

It's cool that it responds to my phone's stylus hovering above the screen, not just when it's touching. Feels like magic.

Nah, the uploader can turn that off if they want, which they tend to do on any popular video. I've resorted to screen recording, but even that is blockable with the (bullshit, shouldn't exist). "can't screenshot this due to security" API that exists on mobile operating systems now
