"can track phones without a warrant and follow their owners home or to their employer" sounds strangely like what was reported to be happening to Palestinians in Gaza. Penlink is in Israel. I think there is a good chance this tech was developed and used in the ongoing genocide against Palestinians and is now being resold to law enforcement here.

This is quite impressive though it is important to remember that this came out for machines like the Xbox360 and the PlayStation 3. I am not convinced these modifications would “fit” on those machines without significant thrashing/paging and significant memory usage to the point where other negative effects come into play. Great read and effort regardless.

My _anecdotal_ understanding is that _generally_ on _average_ for identical as they can be targets, gcc compiles faster but generates slightly larger artifacts while clang would compile slower but generate slightly smaller artifacts.

This makes me wonder if a comparison not using the same compiler really reveals enough of the story here.

I wonder if the demonstrations had haptic feedback. If not, I wonder if we can use NSHapticFeedbackPerformer to implement it.

Actually I strongly beleive the Linux subsystem in Windows 10 will be used on The next Windows Surface/Phone to accommodate Android apps and the android market. Then UWP will demonstrate its performance and Graphic API advantage. Hell Microsoft could even import android projects into UWP projects through the flexibility of CLI if they really wanted to.
