HDMI-CEC is great for TVs but when I searched recently I found that both Nvidia and AMD do not support HDMI-CEC. This was disappointing to find out when I built an HTPC for my TV.

You have a lot more options on lenses and do stuff like background blurring with Bokeh. Some smaller meeting services also provide 4k support.

I have an evga PSU made by SeaSonic and they have others made by FSP. I wouldn't say their PSU OEMs are "just some random Chinese PSUs"

I agree - Thunderbolt is the way to go. It's typically 2 - 3x the price of a USB-C dock, but it's well worth it for me.

I have the TBT3-UDV and caldigit TS4 TBolt dock. They both rely on DC power supplies and higher quality components (intel NIC, for example). Both have been very stable over the last year for the TS4 and 3 yrs for the TBT3.

I appear to be paying a lot of money for products that I could buy for cheap on random websites is starting to piss me off a bit at this point.

The last 5+ years as an Amazon customer have me feeling this way.

Could the Realtek issues be related to power?

I have a Tbolt dock which is powered using a DC barrel jack (6.5amps @ 20V). The comparison is not great as the dock (TBT3-UDZ) is not a USB C dock and uses the Intel i211 nic.

The author appears to have found stability with the Anker PowerExpand 8-in-1, which has the buck converter with power management components.

I've had terrible experiences with the Satechi Multiport Adapter V2 and ICY BOX USB-C type adapters.

I suspect that the issues can typically narrow down with any dock to bandwidth or power.

Do they support hotplugging? afaik traditional floppies do and could be essential to workflows if you can avoid the costly reboot time.

Is there an advantage to use my ISPs tunnel vs another tunnel? I have an open case inquiring about IPv6 and can ask them via that ticket. But if there isn't a benefit from using an ISPs tunnel then I'd rather just save them the work.

How can I publicly shame my ISP into providing IPv6? I have symmetrical 1gbps fiber but the lack of IPv6 is laughable.

I love everything about them (Race Communications) but this is something that really gets under my skin.
