I'm biased here, but perfect memory and decentralized individual-level ambient data collection is going to be the norm in 5 years. In the interim, things like this that only save editable/deletable text will make people comfortable with it.
If someone can edit their recorded memories whenever they want with 0 effort, they can't do anything malicious with what I tell them anyway, so what's the concern?
