Like Apple, Google just want you in the ecosystem.

The money is really in the "App Stores" as such.

It all got silly back in the day.

I was a member of various demo groups/cracking groups and I experienced all sorts of oddness. People wanting arranged fights because they thought their code was better !?

Not in the UK in General, the Government lost it's preferential creditor status several years ago.

The result of which is that they chase their debts a lot quicker and a lot harder than they did before.

I too know nothing of Japanese bankruptcy laws.

In my experience a lot gets swallowed up my the trustees fees, and by lawyers chasing debts.

Although in this case I can't see what debts might need to be chased.

In the UK, if a company owner (Director) files for bankruptcy (Administration) then their conduct is investigated by the trustee and a report is sent to the Department of Trade and industry.

If anything is found, said owner can potentially be held liable for debts, or at the very least be disqualified from running a LLC again.

However, the owner can just then declare themselves bankrupt and escape making any payments, and use a puppet director in their next venture.

The pot is divided up proportionally to how much each person is owed, so everyone gets a fair share.

So you get $1 for every $5 you are owed for example.

I got the eMail straight away, with some great free games I wasn't even expecting.

Ultima 4, DragonSphere, Treasure Hunter...

But as yet no Dungeons for me :-)

I probably should have mentioned I am in the UK. You get back up to £170k here ($280k) but I guess my point still stands :-)

Large banks do have bugs, and sometimes even admit it. [0][1]

The fractional reserve system basically means if there is a problem, you need to be the first at the counter. If you are not, you will only get a certain amount of money back.

The amount pledged is indeed going down. It appears people are being true to their word.

Be interesting if it dips below the £60k required.

I got all excited until I read it won't work in the UK, but it's a great thing otherwise.

My other half said to me one day early in our relationship, as I was facing brancrupcy due largely to my business partner....

I recounted that line to her when I proposed years later.

I was thinking of combining the two, seeing as I have more Lego than is healthy for a 41 year old. :-D

Many of the large insurance companies still hit my corporate site with IE6.

On my iPad in landscape the green button isn't visible without scrolling.
