I've dealt with literally every situation you've described however. Just because this particular reason was that there were no engineers, you could swap in any other situation and still have a true story.
You're right. I wrote this article knowing this, which is what I tried opening with.
I'm not qualified to write a book however because this article itself is proof my writing skills need work.
Otherwise I'd be able to be more clear.
