Just an idea (that would never happen)-

Why not make it like Engineering?

You do your 4 year undergrad and at your first job, no one trusts you. Your supervisor/senior engineer checks Everything you do. You are reserved for paperwork and unskilled manual labor which is also checked. After a few years (4) you get some Freedom, but still checked by your seniors. Anything important, even when you are a senior engineer goes through your Managers and directors.

I don't see why this system wouldn't work in medical. We build airbags and bridges. Both safety critical.

I would even say having 1 physician is more dangerous than having a team of Engineers with less Schooling.

It's a useless industry, it's a disposable luxury. I feel for the workers, but as a whole, less disposable luxuries sounds good for fiscal responsibility and productivity.

Layoffs Are Coming 6 years ago

Same but due to bad sales. Mine is postponed until people go back to work.

Hopefully 9 months of mortgage is enough to survive this.

Layoffs Are Coming 6 years ago

Ancedote time.

My job was ending due to bad sales, my next job is on hold until people return to work.

Our daycare said they are charging us money but we can't come (they said this week only... But this is after we complained).

The only business but really affected? My wife's company who treats people 1 on 1. But who knows even that might be slowed down from paranoid customers.

WHO also claimed children under 1 year old should see 0 TV.

Not even 1 second of TV in the 12 months they are alive.

I was curious why, and after researching they had 0 Data. This decision was made by a panel.

Ahhh good old tradition and mysticism.

In 2013 I wouldn't be predicting a recession.

In 2017 after Trump announced tariffs and it was ~10 years since the last recession. I was concerned.

Maybe stock prices were fine, but multiple companies I've worked for became unprofitable and got rid of tens of thousands of contractors.

Recession? Definitions are toxic to the real problem.

I have questions about populism.

Hearing about Roman populism makes me think it's better than Nobel rule. At least occasionally the masses get a policy that benefits them. For instance the Trump tax cuts and Obamacare took money from the 10% and gave it to the masses. (I'm a bitter 10%er that thinks it's time for the 10% to unite)

So what's wrong with populism? The class warfare?

Is the actual issue demagogry like Trump and Bernie that have fake policy that wins the emotional and uneducated Masses?

their health insurance has favourable terms, and they need to care for a family member

At 200k per year, you can buy Obamacare which is 6k per year and for an individual 6k max out of pocket.

So many people are fooled into thinking their companies health insurance is worth something beyond 12k/yr. And that 12k is firefighters union tier.
