As someone who makes far in excess of the $100k income cap, I find the income cap to be bonkers. I funnel a lot of that excess into my own investments, and maybe that’s the point, but $100k sure ain’t what it used to be. Why not make it $250k?
I have moved to allow-list only and have all notifications turned off. Anyone who wants to talk on the phone will need to arrange a time in advance through some other means.
There was a time in which people were not reachable by voice any time and anywhere. That was fine.
I get that “poaching” is the common term for this practice but we should recognize it for what it is: the free market for talent. Corporations don’t own people.
