Ask HN: How many of you succeeded as SW engs/devs but are so-so in math?

Hi all,

Just out of curiosity I would like to know how math skills relate to success in the software industry.

And, if you could, would you go back in time and spend more time and effort on building a solid math background? (Keep in mind I'm not talking about algorithmic thinking but rather about things like calculus, algebra, discrete math etc.)
