Does Microsoft patent 7617530 affect Ubuntu?

I have seen a lot of discussion about how this patent does (or does not) resemble the sudo command. I am also interested in some other verbiage in that patent application about how users can do bad things if they are logged in as administrators and that is the subject of a blog post http://hypecycles.wordpress.com/2009/11/15/microsoft-patent-7617530/

My question for HN is this: Doesn't the thing that Microsoft patented exactly match the kind of thing that Ubuntu does for administrator activities?
