This is awesome. Being colorblind, I find many available/popular themes hard to work with/not in my taste.

I feel this is something that should be an emacs-mode, though. You could then test your theme-to-be against your own work.

I'm not a vim user, so I cannot vouch for it, but is Villustrator [0] or Vivify [1] helpful?

not that far. ~ 75 solved problems. At some point my maths skills are simply insufficient.

I've tried lots of themes, but I keep going back to Bozhidar Batsov's Zenburn[1], which ships as the default theme with the same author's Emacs Prelude[2].

The font in the screenshots is Ubuntu Mono.

Current customization options are pretty crude, but this is a nice starting point, both for the tool and for a theme.
