Ask HN: What's with posting StackOverflow questions here?

I see a rise in people posting StackOverflow questions on HN. Is it to get more answers to your question? Sometimes it's a link to a rather obscure programming tidbit, and that's ok I guess. Other times it's a question that fits well on SO, not so much as "hacker news."
