Ask HN: What is the latest research on AI detection?

Are there any new technologies or contracts that underpin how images, videos or text created with AI can be verified? It seems nobody is really sure whether anything they see online is genuine or not any more; I think most people want protocols to ascertain this, but the technology (or agreement) doesn't appear to be there yet, or in the hands of individuals.
