Kong in Concert is a collaborative arrangement project born from the music of Donkey Kong Country and created for the purposes of reviving, reinterpreting, and rearranging its entire soundtrack with our combined talents; honoring those who originally composed it; and reawakening the nostalgia and love for a landmark videogame.

I've been listening to this album since it came out, so I guess that makes two decades now. They so beautifully captured the soul of the game's soundtrack and amplified it in all the right ways. Can't recommend enough giving it a listen

You're telling me I've had 'Cry of the Chasmal Critter Chain' in my regular rotation for 20 years!?

I'd implore anyone with even a passing interest in VGM to find their favorite game on OC Remix and listen to some of the different remixes people have made. It's all very good stuff!

Using hex SPC data crudely converted to MIDI, Jammin' Sam Miller painstakingly recreated DKC's soundtrack note by note, by finding the original equipment used to create it, translating the MIDI into a modern studio context, adding in keyboard samples, and re-mixing the sounds with added effects and mastering.
