The article is from almost a week ago, and the original paper from August. Yet, there are two submissions on HN within an hour. Now I wonder where HN posters steal their content from :^)

Edit: Nevermind, according to the timestamps both of these are from 3-4 days ago. Interesting that they both just hit the front page again. I'm not sure why HN is showing both the post and OPs comment as posted "3 hours ago" when the timestamp is several days old.

There is a "second chance" system, and I seem to remember it doesn't have a proper check for duplicates.
