Adult with ASD here. Been taking therapeutic doses of quasi-legal lysergic amides for years and it has been a huge help in allowing me to temporarily alter perception and increase empathy, openness, and cognitive flexibility. Greatly aids my ability to process social signals and reduces anxiety and sensory overload, making social interactions with non-autistic adults feel a lot less overwhelming and more manageable. It also helps give me a sense of connection, and that helps me engage more comfortably in social settings. My use has been entirely self-exploratory. I wish there were more funded studies that could bring these substances health benefits medical approval and extension to a wider audience.
