May have a point there.

Sure puts it out of a lot of people's reach.

But ideally aren't you supposed to want to be educated without any consideration of whether you or anyone else is "getting their money's worth"?

The gap in ability between the best creator and the next best is much larger than the gap between the best factory worker and the next best. By many orders of magnitude.

Not so fast.

That seems like a sensible concept, but it's surely not universal.

What about times when the best creator and the second best are both working in the same factory?

For whatever reason.

As we know also, it's getting more common every year for creative or leadership positions to be occupied by those having less ability than below-average factory workers have traditionally been given credit for.

In those common situations then it looks like everything is upside down

I would say the difference is due to the factory not the person.

Plus every factory is not the same and neither is every person.
