Ask HN: Good resources on UI/UX

Can anyone recommend good books/sites/articles/resources for UI/UX? I feel this is a particular weakness of mine, and I'd like to work on it but I'm not sure where to start.

I've heard the recommendation "The design of everyday things" a couple of times, but are there more concrete resources for a web developer? Be they technical tools or just guidelines.
