It is on the front page, it has 30 upvotes, it's not flagged, but it seems impossible to comment on it. Is it just me?

There was a temporary glitch in the Matrix this morning where comments wouldn't show. On my machine it lasted a few minutes, and the URL above works fine now (though it is flagged).

EDIT: and 35 minutes after I left this comment, it did it again for about 20 seconds. Just a bad HN day, I guess.

You were likely logged in, there seemed to be a glitch where comments weren't visible to logged-in users this morning.

I also saw issues yesterday where all pages displayed an error. Not sure if related

Happening on multiple articles where they just stop rendering past the hide text too. Think the site is having technical issues.

I've seen some issues off and on today. Like HN profile pages not rendering anything after the "about" label (even for your own while logged in) as well as submissions/comments pages for a user not rendering anything.
