LLMs for People Management

There seemed to be, early on, a lot of materials for supplanting middle management with LLMs. Has there been further research on this? When searching Scholar and Arxiv the terms wind up bringing up these positions and their respective use cases for other LLM tasks. There are some papers for HR tasks but I'm not finding much now, but I remember some materials about summarizing stand-ups, dividing up work, etc. Anything ring a bell? Perhaps I should be looking at business process automation? Thank you if you have any good links.
