It seems to me that children still take an example from their parents. So, there is some sense in this.

Isn't the simpler hypothesis that phones are engaging? What invention in the last hundred years is more interesting? Why assuming copying?

I don't care about screen time at all. I sat in front of the tv bored as shit watching commercials when I was a kid. Phones are worse than that? We used to watch informercials because nothing was on at 2am. Netflix is worse than that?

Kids don't go outside because they have no friends and apparently walking around alone as a child is crime. Nervous adults ruined the world and now they want to take phones away from their kids, for what reason?
