Consider this post to be insight from the mind of a genius who communicates poorly, hasn't been trying to broadcast widely, but has been funded by DARPA since before 2010. I feel it's worth your energy and suspension of incredulity to give him a chance to affect your thinking.

Lord knows I've definitely benefitted from reading it 7 years ago.

EDIT: Probably really hits home with people like me with biochemistry and technology background. Also a must-read for people who gravitate toward complexity science research :)
