GenAI is being adopted rapidly in every industry. The field and our understanding of the space is rapidly evolving. Absorbing and keeping up with the pace of evolution can be overwhelming. How are you and your organization keeping up with it? What are the biggest concerns and challenges from your point of view?

The loss of truth and what’s real. AI can generate very plausible statements on nearly anything. Doesn’t mean it’s true though.

I’ve seen people using ChatGPT to do market research. They had prompts returning what would have been proprietary competitor information. Instead of thinking “How could this robot possibly have access to that?”, they instead posted on LinkedIn about how much time ChatGPT was saving them.

That is a very interesting challenge and even more intriguing example. I have seen many cases, where people have been using ChatGPT for certain tasks, where it makes up data (it doesn't have) and users believe it, till someone points the data is incorrect.

Can someone explain to me why LLMs and similar technologies are considered AI?

Because “AI” easier to pronounce and everybody knows what it stands for. And what LLMs are capable of is magic enough to be called “AI” for most people.
