Well, Amazon lobbyists represent Amazon, so banning them from the EU parliament means banning Amazon specifically.

It says "_from_ the EU parliament", which clearly means from entering into the EU parliament (and generally meaning participating in proceedings there). Not "_by_ the EU parliament", which would have been ambiguous and click-baity.

What did you thought was banned from the EU parliament? Amazon operating in the EU? That wouldn't be "from EU parliament", it would be "by EU parliament".

But if some Amazon "software engineers" showed up and asked to enter the building then they would be allowed to do so?

All Amazon employees are part of the same organisation, all working towards the same ends. Whether they are warehouse managers or code monkeys or lobbyists, it makes no difference.

Even if hypothetically these 14 people were employed by firms that represent many clients other than Amazon, the fact they can be banned to send a message to Amazon suggests they are 100%-focused on representing Amazon.

I think the distinction here might be that lobbyists often work for outside firms and in some countries may require to be registered as such.
