Ask HN: How to get participants for a CS research project?

I’m working on my thesis for my MS in CS. I need some people with various levels of programming experience to participate in my study which will involve programming with an AI coding assistant. What is a good way to find people and screen them? Anyone with direct experience with this: did you compensate participants? If so, how and how much?
