Ask HN: Folks who are/were "overemployed" – how did it work out?

During the hiring boom I remember hearing tons about people who knowingly accepted multiple offers and worked multiple remote tech jobs while expectations were low and companies were hiring like mad. I remember someone mentioning they had ten jobs and were on track to make a million that year.

How did that work out? Were there professional ramifications? Are you still doing it today?
