Ask HN: How to get started with understanding LLMs for biotechnology?

Hi HN!

I’m trying to use the next couple of weeks to dive into biotech applications of LLMs. But i’m running into an issue where most of this is in nature publications et al - and barely any demos / githubs.

Specific areas I’m interested are

- protein synthesis basics - drug discovery advances - bacterial strain development

Any pointers to companies / resources / githubs / code / blogs or even a high level overview of what to look for would be super helpful!
